Android x86 6.0 Marshmallow R1 Images for VirtualBox and VMware
Android x86 developers announced the latest stable version of Android x86 6.0 Marshmallow for x86/32bit and amd64/64bit machines, this is first stable release and includes number of interesting features such as F2FS support, fixes suspend/resume bugs related to WiFi connections, introduces HDMI audio support and ships with Linux Kernel 4.4.20: “The Android-x86 project is glad to announce the 6.0-r1 release to public. This is the first stable release of Android-x86 6.0 (‘Marshmallow’ x86). In addition to all key features since 6.0-rc2 it includes: update Linux kernel to 4.4.20 with more patches from AOSP; update Mesa to 12.0.2; preliminary HDMI audio support; add F2FS support; change trackpad cursor from circle to normal mouse pointer; Improve suspend/resume issues caused by wifi drivers. We created universal images for most x86 platforms. This release contains two files; one is the 32-bit x86 ISO image and the other is the 64-bit x86_64 ISO image. Known issues:
- The display of built-in browser messes up sometimes on Skylake GPU.
- Suspend and resume doesn’t work on some devices.
