Linux Lite 5.2 Virtual Machine Images Available for VirtualBox and VMware

Linux Lite team announced the latest version of their operating system Linux Lite 5.2, featuring XFCE desktop environment and changes: “Firewall now managed from Settings Manager. Lite Widget now managed from Settings Manager. Lite Widget now displays Laptop Battery status. Added Taskbar Restore to Lite Tweaks. Removed deprecated GTK2 software, themes. Removed Adobe Flash. Updated Grub menu image to transparent, add more color, clearer boot screens when dual booting. SimpleScreenRecorder, Zoom and Microsoft Teams added to Lite Software. Secure Boot is supported, but unless you know exactly how to handle it, it is a P.I.T.A. at best so I am going to say…you must disable Secure Boot to enable stress free computing. Known issues: No prompt to eject Media at the end of the Legacy install, prompt is available at the end of the UEFI install; Grub – holding shift down whilst booting in UEFI mode does not bring up the Grub menu (works in Legacy mode), waiting for Ubuntu fix…” You can find complete release announcement here.
