Linux Lite team announced the latest version of their operating system Linux Lite 7.0, featuring XFCE desktop environment and changes: “Introducing Linux Lite 7.0 Final codename Galena. The theme of this Series is maturity. We’ve been offering Linux Lite now for 12 years and in that time, have integrated many features as suggested by the community as well as building upon a solid and secure foundation. Secure Boot is supported, but unless you know exactly how to handle it, it is a P.I.T.A. at best so I am going to say…you must disable Secure Boot to enable stress free computing. Changes: XFCE 4.18, Kernel: 6.8.0-31 ( custom kernels also available via our Repository for versions 3.13 – 6.8 ), Chrome: 125.0, Thunderbird: 115.11.0, LibreOffice: 7.6.7.2, VLC: 3.0.20, Gimp: 2.10.36, Base: 24.04.
