Mageia
Mageia is a GNU/Linux-based, Free Software operating system.It is a community project, supported by a nonprofit organisation of elected contributors. Mageia was created in 2010 as a fork of Mandriva Linux, by a group of former employees of Mandriva S.A. and several other developers and users and supporters of the Mandriva community. The Mageia project is a community project and a non-profit organisation whose goal is to develop a free Linux-based operating system. Mageia is planned to be released on a 9-month release cycle, with each release to be supported for 2 cycles, that is 18 months. Mageia is the first Linux distribution where MariaDB replaced Oracle’s MySQL.
